All of this completely ignores reality

You have a pretty well studied use case, London

All the poors were kicked out the inner city and commute for hours a day now

And just wait till they realise you can influence voting patterns by making it inconvenient to reach the polling places just by tweaking timetables, it'll make gerrymandering pale in comparison

You must live in a parallel reality to mine. Sad.

It’s incredibly depressing that in the context of a discussion of transport safety, you seem to think we’re doomed to 30,000 dead a year from crashes alone, to say nothing of shortened poorer quality lives from obesity and lung disease, just because you claim the personal car is intrinsically superior to other modes of transport.

That’s a really dystopian vision of the future and thankfully disconnected from the reality in a lot of major cities which are taking steps to reclaim transportation systems from domination by the personal automobile.

> you seem to think we’re doomed to 30,000 dead a year from crashes alone

I even said:

> Safety is something to be solved with more safe cars and better technology all around.

but apparently you're filtering what you want to hear, so there's no discussion to be had here, especially since all the point so far are appeals to feeling without addressing the point made. I'm sorry that logic has failed you.
