I owned and managed a small software development company for nearly 25 years. We produced many creative educational and consumer products for large publishers. We had neither time nor money to research every innovative routine we developed for possible infringement. Nor did we have money to apply for patents or defend them if they were granted. As we've seen, software patents stifle creativity and innovation; reward those with money rather than creative energy and ideas. |
