We want to differentiate in three way:
1. Yes, cheaper. I'd prefer to call it "more affordable". In particular, it shouldn't be expensive to share with lots of people. That's where those products will get you.
2. Rather than dashboards (where there is an emphasis on putting a bunch of charts on the screen at once), we think in terms of a narrative flow that combines visualizations with text and visual content. More like a scrolling infographic/presentation than a report. Here is a bit of an extreme example: https://www.juiceboxdata.com/a/bunny_finder/bunny_breeds
3. A lot of business users find Tableau and PowerBI to be too complex. We want to make something that is accessible to people who are familiar with Excel PivotTables, but don't want to feel like they need to become trained analysts. So we want the Juicebox authoring experience to be as easy as possible, and result in a professional-looking end product. |
