I have always wondered about his legacy in Quantum Mechanics. Did he win the Nobel Prize for it, perhaps?. And how does his work on it stand in the light of later developments in theory.

He did not win a Nobel Prize. It didn't really change our understanding of prediction.

His work has stood the test of time well. He put quantum physics on a firm mathematical foundation, not just quantum mechanics but any quantum theory expressed in terms of Hilbert spaces and operators.
