Google accepted the anti-consumer challenge: on Android, links from Google Assistant and Google News feed ignore phone's default browser setting, and open in Chrome instead. Not only has Chrome near monopoly, cemented by being the default preinstalled browser - they feel the urge to nip even the tiny insignificant competition in the bud. |
