Personal time is often more valuable than the time you allocate to work. Maybe you're willing to work for $35/hour, but would you charge the same rate for giving up time with friends and family, time for relaxation, time for fun, or time for chores or running errands? For many people, the answer is no. Time away from work is far more valuable.

Yep. Back when I had a job that took up a lot of my time, I tried avoiding overtime ($50/hour). I actually used this website back then to determine my time was worth $150/hour to me.

Basically, unless OT paid a lot more, I wanted my free time.
