Perhaps it's not that developers are more rational, but that they are better at expressing logical-sounding reasons that they don't want to change. It's also possible to see developers as more willing to change (more "rational") than others when something new can help them get their job done better. If nothing else, developers seem to like trying out new languages and tools for novelty's sake, even if it's not because they're actively trying to improve. |
