Thanks for the feedback on my feedback. My recommendation would be to make a very simple tutorial (maybe even a video) walking the user through checkouting a remote project, publishing their own and start hacking while explaining the core concepts. The docs are pretty good from what I see, but when you're just starting and you don't know what you're looking for it's a bit overwhelming I thought.
