Good question. I know of a few projects hosting their own GitLab instance, the problem is that this requires me to create a new account/identity for each of these instances. This is a far cry from what GitHub brought, which was a single "place" and social network where you could browse and contribute to all projects with the same account. Radicle attempts to take back control (just like running your own instance), but without giving up network effects. |
