About time. Coincidentally, today I watched three presentations about burning Kubernetes clusters and all of them had Docker daemon issues in the mix. I’ve been using Docker for over five years myself and I’ve been using Kubernetes for almost two years now. The most pain I encountered was with Docker or its own ecosystem. In the last two years it always had some weird racy situations where it damaged its IPAM or simply couldn’t start containers after a restart anymore. Also its IPv6 support is just a joke. Sorry, I had to rant and I hope that this announcement will fuel the development of Docker alternatives even more. |
