Given that
- Microsoft considered an $8B acquisition early 2016
- Salesforce does a $28B acquisition late 2020 That's only about 3x growth in almost 5 years. Don't get me wrong, this is a massive acquisition, but I still say "only" given the hypergrowth experienced by many adjacent tech companies. So I think Microsoft may be quite happy they decided not to acquire Slack at such a high tag price nearly 5 years ago. |
