There was a service I tried for something similar that had this obnoxious "AI" interface that would pretend to be a secretary, telling you about upcoming meetings in several emails a week.

I can only imagine they started with something like this and brought in a VC to infect it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having vision, but sometimes it feels like people are just chomping at the bit to get the next "How I got to X million AAR" article. When even a few dollars a month would make them plenty happy relative to how much less work it would be.
