Sustainability is a factor of the population times its emission. So the answer would depend on how much we can decrease our emissions. If I had to guess, I don't think we will be able to reduce our emissions enough to sustain the population density of developed countries. But I am pretty sure that it could be doable if we took all the measures we could take. |
