The U.S. military industrial complex views these sorts of algorithms as a vital technology in fighting future wars, and also fears that it's at a disadvantage to China because 4x population means a strategic advantage purely from the size of data sets Chinese ML researchers have access to. What are ya gonna do? MIC gets what it wants. |
