That's been done already; Pongo OS and Sandcastle were running on the devkits, unless some huge change is made to the M1 it should run all the same. Problems so far were lack of device drivers; there isn't even disk access right now because there is no NVME Controller driver made yet (well, except the one in macOS and iOS of course).
