My take on productivity is: If I'm going to be productive and get things done, then I'm going to want to. If I don't want to get things done, and I force myself to, I won't become magically productive, I'm just going to try to get the task done as quick and cheap as possible because I don't want to be doing it. So the quality of that work lacks. So when I'm feeling unproductive, I go browse the internet for a little while or get up and walk around until I want to work again.
So far this has worked for me throughout my jobs and my managers have yet to complain about it. |
