This was exactly what I was thinking. However, I have read two things that I haven't yet been able to confirm.
The study on the efficacy of the drug was done by a 3rd party and supposedly the timing of the results was not under the control or knowledge of the company.
But I also read that the sale was setup to trigger at a certain price.
Yeah, two coincidences sounds a bit off, in terms of probability...
Is like saying the probability of two presidential election polls being wrong twice was unlikely, unless there was something deeply wrong with the system.
Maybe it comes down to our faith in the stock market/firms/media, just like our democracy?
