The people of Melbourne/Victoria in Australia would like a word... They went from a "second wave" of over 700 new cases a day, to just having hit 16 consecutive days of zero new cases - all due to lockdown restrictions and mask wearing. It was tough on people. But it worked. Looking at numbers like 160,000 new cases a day is horrifying. Death rates seem to be globally hovering right around 0.5% - that's a lot of dead people... |
