i only had one good teacher in high school and I consider myself lucky. the students of the writer of this article have at least one good teacher as well. personally i only know vim enough to know that I prefer emacs, but I agree with virtually every point of this article. a further point I would make is when you learn these technologies(a text editor/cli/unix tools), you will literally use them for the rest of your life. With no subscription fee!
