I am very confident that photos metadata is not used for ad targeting. I know enough about the infrastructure and the folks that run it that it would take a seriously tin-foil-hat type scenario for this to be happening without the team's knowledge. I work on Google Photos and prior to that I worked on datacenter level infrastructure. |
