I have yet to see evidence that Wayland has less artifacts/tearing than X.

Also Wayland probably has less support for adaptative sync (which is the biggest feature regarding what you call a perfect frame)
The former is nearly unwatchable if the scene has lots of darkness punctuated by light, such as a fire.
