KDE and Mir already implement some wlroots protocols. We (wlroots) try to get as many compositors as possible on board.

Is there a standard for global hotkey configuration, so that apps can configure some of their own?
Do you try to get them into the official wayland protocols? (if there is such a thing.)
Yup, the thing is called the wayland-protocols repository.
Is wlroots still incompatible with Nvidia hardware?
I guess I see that as Nvidia being incompatible with wlroots. Nobody but Nvidia can do it, and Nvidia, for all its $billions, can't.
Nvidia still doesn't implement the de-facto standard API used by everybody else (GBM).
So yes, wlroots is still incompatible with Nvidia hardware.
