Slow burn of this topic, this deeper analysis looked at Netflix’s impact on Hollywood too. This[1] is from 2019:

Yeah, I wonder when they'll start looking into what not doing a third season does to getting rid of subscribers...
If producers know that up front, then the story line should be planned accordingly.
