I think the eventual idea is that 5G will replace Wifi for most casual use cases.

This has happened with 4G already to a large degree - I don't bother connecting to Cafe or Hotel Wifi these days as 4G is faster anyway.

5G would eventually ideally let me drop my home internet plan and just use 5G for everything.

I agree though that that's unlikely to happen during the next 2-4 years which might be lifespan of this phone if I were to purchase it.

I guess I am just too cheap to pony up for an unlimited plan. I never stream video over the cellular connection, and rarely stream audio. I don’t see this changing unless unlimited plans get cheaper. I currently have fiber to the home for less than $70/month, and cannot imagine giving that up for any kind of wireless solution.
