Shortly after this was published, I saw Terry give a reading of it, at Lunacon, I think. He was pretty funny. I suspect some here are really overthinking this. It’s fun because it’s short and basically all dialogue, so it lends itself pretty well to this kind of performance.

I wonder what he thinks of the tone of that short film version, which at least to me isn't comedic at all.

I found it dry-comedic. But then again, I could only see that one person as the Cash Cab guy.
