So, I don't know any crazy homeless people, but I do have a relative with schizophrenia. Although he does have other characteristics, as his condition worsened, all of them became buried underneath a web of paranoia and madness. I can't honestly believe that someone who didn't know them personally in the good days, would be able to pinpoint any bit of their natural personality anymore. In film and TV, crazy homeless people often exist as extras only. If they have more screen time, their background story is usually told as well. |
