Yes this is true. Also there is nothing to stop someone from simply buying a data center, or several, out right. I don't mean to be sarcastic here, but why spend $40 billion developing some new weapon tech that might or might not work, when instead you can set up a proxy Private Equity firm and buy out all a country's data centers? Also by the way inside of a data center there is tons of segregation between server racks, dual power sources coming from opposite sides of building, etc. Even if you were given a decent time window a single person could only do limited damage. |
