.DS_Store is really really annoying for everyone who isn’t on macOS though. It feels like throwing trash on the floor in every room you go in. It’s particularly annoying when you ram a USB stick in a TV and have to play “find which file is the film you wanted to watch”. Granted we have our thumbs.db as well. As for the solution, if you can switch to OpenBSD on a Thinkpad, having macOS to start with sounds a bit like choosing the wrong tool for the job. |
