When will this be available with AMD? I'm currently shopping for a new build, and willing to wait 6 months or so, but beyond that I'm not sure ...

AMD will present its next generation Ryzen CPUs, based on Zen 3, the day after tomorrow, 08.10.2020 [0][1] - maybe we can get more info about DDR5 compatibility already then.

DDR5 isn't coming until Zen 4, this has been known and shown on the roadmap for a long time as DDR5 requires a new socket design.

Zen 3 will be the last launch for the AM4 platform right? I’d imagine DDR5 comes with whatever is the next socket.
