Well, they’ve had 5 years to deal with their problems. We can take them at their word that they tried really hard and made these absolutely massive investments, but the platform is still an addictive petri dish of misinformation, conspiracy theories, and continues to drive polarization. If they were really doing the best they can, the logical conclusion is no amount of effort can actually fix this, and a global, engagement-based social network is too toxic to exist. |
