Agreed . Shows like breaking bad are good, but they’re also palatable. Massive successes have to have broad appeal. Unique gems have niche audiences . See The Leftovers. I think The Wire is a masterpiece so great that it graduated from niche appeal to broad praise. Just to be clear, I praise all 3 examples |
