I just make an account, random name, no email and fix everything in preferencs. Disable new design and save to get the old pref page. Then disable flair, custom themes, suggested sort, auto play, tracking outbound clicks, notifications; turn on compact links, save again. Go into personalization and disable all ad personalizations. Instead of joining subs and browsing the site, i usually just use an RSS reader.

I delete the account if I feel I'm starting to get too excited about my karma level.
