Show HN: How to solve “Zoom Fatigue” with a more immersive AR meet mobile app (varaxr.com)

I don't understand... How is this different from zoom? And what problem is it solving? The site just had a few screenshots of someone's phone video feed?
Hi kstenerud, The way it differentiates from video call is that it is more immersive and interactive by using AR technology. You can meet or hangout with other users as avatars (holographic in future) and interact with 3D elements that you can spawn using Augmented reality in your own physical space. For example if you want to celebrate a birthday, you can do that by joining a private room and change theme to birthday. Then you will see a 3D AR birthday cake on a table in front of you. Other users can then join that shared space as avatars and interact and communicate as you would naturally. For them they will see the cake in their own physical space. In short it’s more than a 2D video call. It is immersive and interactive call. We plan on supporting AR headsets and VR headsets in future. Check out the video here and it will make more sense https://youtu.be/9ww0tv31J0Q or you can even try out the beta app. Https://varaxr.com/invite
I tried loading the site but it's just hanging for me. I can see the landing page, but it looks like a request to an mp4 file might be blocking the main thread. The site just hangs.

From what I can see of the landing page though, there's not much describing the product. Maybe the video or something shares more.

Sorry about that. The information is part of the video. You can also watch it here. It has more information in this video https://youtu.be/9ww0tv31J0Q
This looks worse than zoom
Thank you for your feedback. It is actually still an MVP and hence the scrappy UI. However, if you try it out, you will understand how it is different from a video call.
You can't make a Show HN if you're just collecting email addresses. Please see the rules: https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html
Hi Dang. It is actually a launched product in private beta. Once you put your email address, you will get access to the private beta link. :) Unless it didn't work for you. If so let me know and I can send you a link to the invites.
Ok, I'll put Show HN back in the title. You'll get more and better feedback if you just let people try it more directly though.
