But in all seriousness, Germany and Sweden (and the USA for that matter) all have sub-replacement fertility rates. I understand that you believe that people will reproduce like rabbits, especially if incentivized, but the data doesn't reflect that. In every system there are those that game the system. The question is: does the benefit for the majority outweigh the cost of those abusing the benefit? |
