If I do not have Brown eyes that means each of the brown eyed people can see 898 browns. If that is the case, then on day 899 all of those people will kill themselves. No - if I do not have brown eyes then the knowledge that everyone shares is that there are at least 898 brown eyes, not that there are at least 899. This is because the others would then see only 898, since by hypothesis my eyes are not brown. |
