Not exactly the same thing, but going after your VP of Marketing is pretty similar, if they do this to their best employees, what they won't do to a smaller 3rd party that they feel it's on their way to profit.

I don't think trying to enforce a no-compete contract with a former employee who left to work for a competitor is even remotely similar to... requesting an author correct the name of the product they're writing about.
Not even in the same ballpark of relevance. PR is different than HR
