You can also lock the screen with control + command + Q. I always bump into the corners so I prefer a key combination.

If you press ⌘ when selecting hot corner action you can make it so assigned hot corner only activates when holding ⌘

Ha, I didn't know about that one. I currently replace the Siri button with the do not disturb button, seems like I use it more often.
