I really, really recommend reading the Bundesnetzagentur‘s reasoning for its preferred market structure of the energy grids. They have long time goal (building resilient and performativ smart markets and grids) that explain a bit how some perceived inconsistencies (or pains) are necessary from their point of view. But also some of their market and grid reports. It is really interesting, especially from a geeky perspective.
