| Greetings! My name is Momchil and I'm a Marketing Manager at a software company that focuses on serving developers.
As an employee that got recently hired I want to impress my employers as much as I can.
Look, as I've been reading this forum for quite a while, I know you guys aren't dumb and some of you can be very skeptical and critical. Therefore, I'll try to be as sincere and honest as possible.
Here goes...
As a marketing manager, I need to understand how my "ideal customer" looks like, thinks, and acts. So, I have prepared some questions for you guys. If you decide to share your 2 cents, it'd be highly appreciated. If not, all good. 1. What does your typical morning look like: Do you drive? What are you listening to? Through what kind of headphones? What apps are you checking? 2. What are your “Seinfeld Moments”? Those little everyday annoyances you encounter: the person who takes forever to order at Starbucks, the moment you feel unfairly obligated to respond to a fb message or iMessage because it’s marked as “read”, etc. 3. What does your night routine look like? Pretending to meditate, sipping lavender tea, reading 10 pages of the latest self-help bestseller before your eyes give out? 4. What books/shows/media are you likely to be consuming right now? Netflix, Stranger Things, CNN, The Food Channel, etc. 6. What are your top 3 daily frustrations as a developer? 7. What are you TIRED of seeing? What makes you sick? (ie. marketing gurus with hyped up promises and rented lambos) The following might be hard to share but still... the universe won't stop moving. 8. Where are you judging yourself most critically? 9. What can’t you accept/tolerate in yourself? 10. What would you be most embarrassed by if your peers saw or knew? 11. Where have you failed to meet your own expectations? The expectations of others? 12. What do you like and don't like about GitHub? P.S. A personal fact about me: I'm a narcissist. |
