What worked for me is to blindly listen to bands whos names kept coming up. For example I heard that the Police were supposed to be a big deal so I dug up an album by them and listened through the whole thing. If I liked what I heard I would hunt down more albums (or CD's because this was mostly in the 90's and 00's). I would do the same thing if I heard a song I liked on the radio.
Gradually you will find out what genres you like and you'll be able to discover similar artists. |
