Ever heard of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma and other apps that the vast majority of people use over GPL alternatives? Outside of the tech bubble I mean, out in the real world. VLC is one of the few exceptions that prove the rule standing out like that. For every GPL success story in consumer products there are 10,000 proprietary consumer product success stories. |
