Does the choice of programming language / development stack affect acquisitions?

I've never really seen this topic covered in any of the acquisition literature / blog posts i've read and couldn't really find anything meaningful on Google.

I've been a .NET developer on the Windows platform for several years but own a mac and have been learning RoR in my spare time. I'm planning on developing a new web app and I know at the moment I will be able to develop it much faster in .NET / Windows than RoR / linux.

Does anyone have any experience with problems / benefits your choice of technology stack has had when getting acquired?
