Hey I think you might be referencing to no white boarding. The easiest way to do this is to show your technical ability which might give the interviewer the confidence that you are the right one and leverage your network because that always helps.

You can show your abilities by building side projects,communicating the communities,writing blogs or even contributing to the open source communities
