I wasn't clear, I meant when I'm socializing with co-workers while I'm on the clock, such as gathering around the cubicle. Not at home or a bar.
Edited: for clarity. The OP mentioned they work 4-5 hours a day and are distracted the other 3-4 when at work (in the office). I was saying during those 3-4 hours you have multiple side conversations (on company time) that it makes sense to the company to encourage. Not just cuz co-workers who get along have a better work environment, but that it makes a more interconnected environment. > Office environments can also be toxic and decrease productivity/morale.
