Every kid is different so YMMV. In my experience (N=2) the biggest factors were: * Full bellies (more milk!)
* Dark rooms (blackout curtains)
* white noise
* Consistent routine (more relevant after 6-9 months) For us the general idea was that we wanted to be able to put them down in the crib awake so they could learn to fall asleep on their own rather than always nursing/holding them until they feel asleep and then trying to put them down.
