I'm not sure why anyone would want cut resistant shoe soles, but I know lots and lots of people who want puncture resistant shoe soles. Isn't that a similar process to ballistics? I note that they didn't really cover that territory, and wonder if that was lack of facilities or avoiding the tough questions. |

Maybe in a sense, but I think not really. Bullet-proof vests aren't necessarily (usually?) stab proof. (And vice-versa of course.)
