For me Product is a conversation between a constructed thing and its environment.

The environment includes its users, its creators, the market, the people who believe in it, the people paying for it...

This conversation happens over time, and the thing evolves (both growing and shrinking) in response to its environment - but it also has an effect on its environment. A more successful product will have a larger effect - and indeed harsher environments may produce more focused products. The most successful products will create their own futures, that is when Product becomes really fun.
