> Leading Your Team I am growing more and more allergic to the words "lead" "leader" "leadership"... In all the high-productivity team I personally experienced, the so-called manager/leader are doing work that support the team. They never lead the team in any concrete fashion, i.e., they often clear barriers for the team to do what they always wanted to do, and most of the activities are often proven to be the correct things later. I think most of the useful leadership training actually state the same idea. But I see often times that many such "leaders" are mentally forced into what the name suggests, and trying really hard to "actually lead" the team members. That immediately turned down the collective creativity and gel between the team members. That, is why I am allergic to these words... |
