I had similar results following similar practices. I distinguish between stuff I want the algorithm to recommend and stuff that I only want to consume "on-demand" (that is when ever I search for it). The second category covers topics with lots of content so It would overwhelm the other interests. YouTube some times asks me how do I feel about my recommendations and some times all of them are interesting. But I can't watch them all (maybe I should add them to watch later, to tell the algorithm that I care) The turning point was when they allowed us to tell the algorithm which videos were not relevant. |
