Discovering content that others have found to be engaging (real-time) is difficult. I typically bounce from site to site browsing the "front page" hoping to see the most recent, top stories. I recently set out to create a single destination that sources content from websites, social networks, etc. and ranks it based on social engagement data. If you connect via Facebook, you can see what links your friends shared. If you choose your city (limited to 11 as of right now), you can see your local news. New content and engagement sources are constantly being added.
